Using Your Tea Strainer 

The tea strainer is designed to simplify the process of brewing loose-leaf tea directly in your cup.

1. Measure the Tea: Measure your tea leaves using the most accurate method:
• Tea Scale (Recommended): Measure 2 grams of tea or tisane.
• Spoon: Use one level scoop of the Perfect TeaSpoon, or a similar teaspoon measure.

2. Fill the Strainer: Remove the lid from the tea strainer and place the measured leaves inside.

3. Position and Pour: Place the filled strainer into your tea cup. Pour 6 ounces of hot water (use recommended temperature per type) over the leaves.

4. Set the Timer: Check the back label of the tea cylinder for the recommended steep time and set your timer.

5. Remove and Rest: Once the timer goes off, carefully remove the strainer. Place it on the strainer lid, which is designed to act as a convenient rest.

Re-steeping Tip:

• Teas (Camellia sinensis): You can often infuse the same leaves two or three times depending on your taste.

• Tisanes (Herbal): These are typically meant for one infusion only.
